Shipping Policy
At The Slow Stories, each chapter is carefully written, printed, and mailed with love so your child can enjoy the joy of storytelling in real time. Below are our shipping details and policies to ensure a smooth experience for you.
When are chapters mailed?
If you order a chapter story today, your mailing schedule will follow:
Orders placed before the 25th of the month:
Your first chapter will be posted on the 1st of the coming month. All subsequent chapters will be posted on the 1st of every month thereafter.Orders placed after the 25th of the month:
Your first chapter will be posted on the 1st of the following month. All subsequent chapters will be posted on the 1st of every month thereafter.
We post all chapters via India Post. Delivery typically takes 5–8 business days depending on your location within India.
Story Continuation Prompts
Each month, your child will be given a chance to choose how the story unfolds.
If you upload your child’s chosen prompt (details shared via email) by the 23rd of the month in which you receive the chapter, we will include that choice in the next chapter.
If the prompt is not submitted by the 23rd, we will select a continuation prompt ourselves to ensure the next chapter arrives on time.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges apply to all orders.
Your exact shipping rate will be shown before final checkout.
Resending Chapters
Given the nature of mail, resending chapters may sometimes be required.
If a chapter is lost, damaged, or delayed due to an internal error on our part, we will resend it at no additional cost to you.
If a chapter is undeliverable due to an incorrect address, customer relocation, or other external errors, we can resend one chapter free of charge. Additional resends may incur a small handling fee.
We rely on you to provide a complete and accurate mailing address when placing your order and to notify us promptly of any changes. Failure to do so may result in delays.
Special Notes
We currently ship only within India.
If you move homes, please notify us at support@theslowstories.com as early as possible so we can update your mailing address across our system.
Please note that updating your address with India Post directly will not automatically forward The Slow Stories packages.
